A day in the life...

I am sure you are all wondering what it is like to be me... Ha! Just kidding. If you're anything like me, you're probably wrapped up in your own junk and don't really care. I'm going to tell you anyway, maybe some of you can relate.

My day does not revolve around photography, in fact, it's something that I have to force myself to make time for. Instead, most of my time is dedicated to work. In fact, I adore my job! 5 days a week I go to work and answer phones. Any guesses so far? I am a 9-1-1 dispatcher. I deal with the public on the worst days of their lives. And no, I can't transfer your 9-1-1 call to California. Google is still a thing people! :) Anyway, I am one of the lucky few who get to say "I LOVE MY JOB!" So, I spend a lot of energy on that.

When I am not working I am spending time with my 3 beautiful children. I share custody of them with their father. Work keeps me from seeing them 50% of the time but I like to believe that is not the quantity of time, but the quality of it that really matters. We make memories as often as possible. My camera is always along for the ride. My oldest has taken an interest in photography and we go out together and take photos. Below are 2 of the numerous photos that we have taken together. He is amazing!

When I am not doing any of the above mentioned, I am spending time with my wonderful significant other. After a long day of "I don't have an emergency but..." and "JUST GET HERE NOW!" there is no one I would rather unwind with. He truly is my favorite dose of sanity in such an unbalanced world.

Then, bed time. Fighting children who "aren't tired" even though they are rubbing their eyes and crying before I can shower and wind down. Sounds hectic, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

So, you see... I don't make a living on photography, but I do make a lovin' on it. For anyone thinking "I want to do this but..." I promise, if I can take time to make the world a more beautiful place, so can you!!!!
